Share outdoor content with the community in the komoot search
The outdoor community uses komoot’s organic search to find inspiration for routes in a certain region. Outdoor content that appears in the search results gets higher visibility and reach. We offer tourism and conservation partners the opportunity to benefit from this increased attention, helping your valuable content get in front of the people who’ll love it the most.
In this post, we’ll show you the best ways to present and publish your outdoor content.
What does organic search mean?
When outdoor enthusiasts search for inspiration on komoot in a specific region, they enter the name of the region or city in the search field. The search results then present them with relevant Collections, including those from tourism partners, as long as they contain at least two routes within a 15-kilometer search radius.
How can you make partner content appear in the komoot search?
Your outdoor content can also appear in the organic search. All you have to do is create a partner profile and complete our free komoot Academy. On this free e-learning platform, you’ll learn how to independently create inspiring and relevant content that resonates with the community.
Once you’ve completed the training program, you’ll become a certified Community Expert and can submit your Collections for publication. Our editorial team will review them to make sure that the content meets our quality standards and offer guidance if needed. Following a successful review and publication, komoot users can find the Collections via the search function.
Our tip: In our magazine article “Content creation that makes you want to head outdoors”, our Managing Editors provide you with some easy suggestions for creating content.
Advantages of appearing in the organic search
Publishing your Collection as a Community Expert offers several benefits:
- Increased reach and visibility: After our quality check, your Collections will appear in the organic search results, ensuring they reach a larger audience. Collections that you don’t submit for approval by our team will still be visible, just only in your partner profile.
- Access to our real-time reports: After your Collection has been published, you’ll receive valuable metrics about your visitors and how they engaged with your content.
Speaking of metrics: In our magazine article on Partner Reporting, we share which information about your Collections you’ll regularly receive.
